Atrium Atrium Atrium
Atrium over courtyard

Cover your courtyard without compromising the look and feel of open space in your home or business so that you may enjoy it more year-round. Grow your favourite plants, shrubs and even trees protected from the harsh environment often brought about by seasonal weather changes.

There are several methods for providing the required structural supports based on site-specific engineering addressing building code, snow loads as well as wind loads. Framework may be of wood, steel or aluminum to blend into the architectural style of your property. Atriums (atria), like their smaller "cousin", are like skylights but intended to span fairly large areas. It is not uncommon to have an entire courtyard sheltered from the weather and surrounding noises. Glazing is typically tempered glass but monolithic (solid) or multi-wall polycarbonate or acrylic glazing can provide better temperature control at a fraction of the cost where a water-tight seal is not imperative. All our projects are custom-built to meet your needs. Give us a call.
