Adalia Extreme (X3M)™

The Adalia Extreme X3M™
group of awnings is designed, manufactures and assembled in Canada by
Rolltec®, using time-honoured traditions of European and North American
technology superior workmanship and top quality materials.
Innovatively designed, the Adalia X3M™ arm shoulder consists
of three components of high-strength extruded aluminum that work in
conjunction to provide lateral and vertical stability, and are virtually
unbreakable. It features dual inclination modes: a default setting of 5 to
45 degrees, and an optional 40 to 80 degree setting after a simple
adjustment. |
| |
Superior
craftsmanship is found in the Adalia Extreme (X3M)™ arm which consists of
extruded aluminum profiles, strong die-cast aluminum elbows, PVC-protected
double aircraft cables at the elbows and heavy-duty springs assuring fabric
tension when fully extended. |
| |
Aerodynamically
designed extruded aluminum protective hood option protects the frame and the
fabric mechanism from snow build-up and other extreme weather conditions. A
weather strip at the back eliminates the need for caulking and eliminates
"chatter" vibration. |

Adalia Extreme (X3M)™ Extenda

The Adalia X3M Extenda™ is
a cross-arm awning designed for a narrow width situation where the awning
projection has to be equal or greater than the width. it possesses the same
impressive features as the Adalia Extreme X3M™ (see abaove) as well as
vertically offset arms |
| |
A solid aluminum extension block is connected to one of the
arm shoulders. This tech-nique offsets the arm shoulder, lowering one arm
just underneath another, so they can cross without conflicting. |
| |
An hexagonal eccentric adjustment at the base of each arm
shoulder allows effortless arm fine-tuning during assembly. |
| |
- Projections available:
5'-4" (3'-8" minimum width required)
6'-9" (4'-6" minimum width required)
8'-8" (5'-8" minimum width required)
10'-0" (6'-6" minimum width required)
11'-8" (8'-0" minimum width required)

Adalia Extreme (X3M) Plus™

The Adalia X3M Plus™ is a
modification of the Adalia X3M™ awning with uniquely engineered slope
adjustment gears incorporated into the arm shoulders. As a result, Adalia
X3M Plus™ allows infinite inclination adjustments in both arms
simultaneously at any time. Therefore, the arms will always stay aligned,
which means there is no need to worry about your awning being leveled before
retracting it. |
| |
These structurally powerful arm shoulders contain gearboxes
that are synchronized inside the square bar by a solid steel rod and a
series of bearings. This allows changing the pitch of both arms at the same
time. The range of slope adjustment is from 7° to 55° |
| |
- Slope adjustment is done with an awning
winding handle
- Both arms adjusted at the same time,
keeping the awning leveled
- Variable shade coverage to suit the
sun's position
- Ability to lower the awning's slope
while it's raining to more effectively shed the rain and reduce the
potential for pooling

Physique XL™

Eclipse™

Bravo™

The Bravo™ is a
semi-cassette eco-friendly retractable awning designed to lower your cooling
cost by reducing your heat-gain during the summer. Elegantly designed to not
only provide shade and light rain protection, it complements any home décor
and offers ultimate fabric protection. The Bravo™ suits any type of
installation where the fabric and mechanism are at their most vulnerable. |
| |
An aluminum
cassette shields the fabric and internal fram components. When the awning is
fully retracted, the main fabric is completely enclosed and only the valence
(which is removable) is exposed. Unlike some other semi-cassettes, we have
ensured there are no gaps between the cassette profiles. |
The extruded aluminum dual
inclination arm shoulder contains a specially engineered mechanism that
pivots upwards, therefore, the front bar and profiles meet perfectly every
time as well as acting as a "wind-lock" to reinforce the shoulder's
capability to resist strong winds. |
The internally reinforced,
extruded aluminum front bar gives continuity to the fabric top and added
strength to the overall system. When the awning is retracted, the top
profile overlaps the front bar slightly thereby preventing water access into
the cassette. |
Durable
PVC-coated aircraft cables connect to the heavy-duty springs inside the arm
cavity applying extreme force to keep the fabric taut when the awning is
fully extended. Bravo™ arms are made from extruded aluminum profiles and
thermo-treated die-cast components guaranteeing strength and longevity. |
- Custom widths from 6'-2" through to
19'-9" in 1" increments
- Projection: 5'-0" - 6'-9" - 8'-4" -
10'-0" - 11'-8"

crank (adjustable from 50" to 84")

Basket Awnings

Basket awnings are similar
to conventional stationary awnings, in that they can handle snow loads and
high winds. They differ in that the basket awning can be equipped with a
pulley kit which allows the basket to retract. The benefit of being able to
retract your basket awning is that you can let direct sunlight into your
home during the gloomy winter months.
Basket awnings are available in 4-Rib and 2-Rib styles. The 4-Rib style is
more rounded and softens the look of the window. |
| |
- Custom widths from 3'-0" to 14'-0" in 1"
increments
- Projections: 18" - 24" - 30" - 36"
(typical projection is half the height of the window)
- Anodized aluminum frame
- 100% solution-dyed woven fabric
- Fixed or retractable with pulley
mechanism
| |
The 2-Rib style forms a triangle when looking
at it from the side, creating a more dramatic look. |
- Custom widths from 3'-0" to 14'-0" in 1"
increments
- Projections: 18" - 24" - 30" - 36"
(typical projection is half the height of the window)
- Anodized aluminum frame
- 100% solution-dyed woven fabric
- Fixed or retractable with pulley
mechanism

Drop-Arm Awnings

Drop arm awnings are our
most popular model for shading windows. They are retractable, thus giving
you the option to shade the entire window, or just part of it. Drop arms can
be motorized or manually operated; for higher installations, we suggest a
motorized operation.
The arms on the drop arm
awning, when extended, determine the length of the projection and the angle
of the fabric.
- Custom widths from 4'-0" to 12'-0" in 1"
increments
- Projections: 18" - 24" - 30" - 36" - 42"
- 48"
(typical projection is half the height of the window)
- Extruded aluminum arms with maximum
inclination of 160° degrees
- Extruded aluminum front bar with added
weight to provide greater stability in windy condition
- White powder-coated aluminum frame
- 100% solution-dyed woven fabric
- Standard Operation: Manual crank (55"
with 71" & 84" option)
- May be motorized and operated by remote
control
(especially recommended for upper-floor windows)

Typical Components &
Accessories
A variety of brackets for any installation. Wall (regular
and 3-hole), ceiling, roof brackets, as well as 4 sizes of rafter brackets
(used in combination with ceiling brackets). |
A specially designed 40mm extruded aluminum square bar with
5mm architectural reinforcement ribs that prevent it from twisting. This
improvement is done to accommodate the increased torque of a larger
projection and a large, 40mm square bar, with 2mm thick walls, adds
stability to the overall system. |
Structural galvanized steel
roller tube with spring memory to re-bound to its original shape. |
Manual override
In gale-force winds, thunder and lightning storms, power surges or power
failures can occur. Under heavy wind conditions, your awning should be
retracted to protect it from the elements. We highly recommend the manual
override option to allow you to retract (or deploy) your awning should there
be a power failure. Having a manual override allows you extend and retract
your motorized awning with the use of our standard crank supplied with your
Rolltec awning. |
Sun and wind sensors
The sun sensor automatically extends the awning when it becomes sunny; the
wind sensor automatically retracts the awning when the wind gets too strong
(please note: a wind sensor is to be used under supervision and should not
be used en lieu of lack of attentiveness). Both sun and wind sensors are
available wireless and run on batteries, or with a cord and require an
outlet. |
Manual Assist
Retractable awnings have powerful springs in the folding arms to keep the
fabric taut at all times. A fully extended awning requires a certain amount of physical
force when using a crank. For larger awnings this could be a problem,
therefore a spring-assist mechanism is suggested to aid you in retracting
your awning. The spring assist option can be added to any size awning upon
request. |
Outdoor plug-in system
This system allows you to have a motorized awning without the help of an
electrician to hardwire it. The outdoor plug-in system is equipped with a
switch and conventional plug, therefore no hardwiring is required. |
Somfy Remote-Controlled
Motors
How would you like to be able to extend or retract your awning with a touch
of a button? A motor can be pre-installed at our factory and operated with a
3 way switch or transmitter. The body of the motor is placed inside the
roller tube, therefore no additional space is required. With our RTS family
of motors, the transmitter can be activated from 90 feet and effortlessly
deploy or retract your awning. |
