Tempered Safety Glass

Tempered Glass is stronger than Annealed Glass. When broken, it shatters into many small fragments which prevent major injuries. This type of glass is intended for glass façades, sliding doors, building entrances, bath and shower enclosures and other uses requiring superior strength and safety properties.

The most distinguishing feature of tempered safety glass is that it breaks into little granular, blunt fragments upon impact. (it is the standard norm in the automotive industry for side and rear windows).  We advocate this product for use in glazed railings where clarity and safety are important considerations. It is mandatory by code for glass doors in most jurisdictions.
